In general, only Synology drives is allowed with conditional exceptions: o "Unrecognized" Drive Status will be shown when installing drives not in the compatibility list and these drives CANNOT be used (can't added to the Storage Pool). o Special exceptions are allowed: - Disk migration from other Synology NAS is allowed with "Migrated" Drive status and Storage Pool status. - Unverified 2.5" SSD can be used but with "Unverified" Drive Status and "At Risk" Storage Pool status. Note: Only for 2.5" SSD, unverified M.2 NVMe SSD still can't be used.
