Connect directly to your console's MADI-TP!

Appsys ProAudio MTA-64 - MADI-TP Adapter for the Multiverter MVR-64 (DiGiCo and Soundcraft/Studer)

This small inline box enables the Appsys ProAudio Multiverter to connect directly to DiGiCo and Soundcraft/Studer MADI-TP ports.

On the Multiverter side, audio is connected to the MADI-TP port, while power and configuration is taken from the Extension port (which is still available because it´s fed thru).

All known pin-out configurations are supported, and an in-built MDIX feature allows you to use straight Cat5 cables (where crossover cables would normally be required).

With the MTA-64, the Multiverter becomes capable of connecting to the MADI-TP variants used in DiGiCo and Soundcraft/Studer/Harman desks, which - although not officially standardized - have gained widespread acceptance because they are built into many desks and stageboxes.

The MTA-64's relay logic eliminates the need for crossover cables and allows to use standard straight (1:1) cabling in all situations.

The MTA-64's relay logic eliminates the need for crossover cables and allows to use standard straight (1:1) cabling in all situations.

The MTA-64 connects to the Multiverter's MADI-TP port (for the audio transmission) and to the EXTENSION port (for power supply and mode control). The EXTENSION port is fed through on the MTA-64 to allow other extension boxes(e.g. for AVB) to connect to the Multiverter simultaneously.

Optionally, a second MTA-64 may be connected to the MVR-64 to add another MADI-TP port (instead of the AES50 port).

With the MTA-64, the Multiverter becomes capable of connecting to the MADI-TP (MADI over Twisted Pair) variants used in DiGiCo and Soundcraft/Studer/Harman desks. It's simply connected between the MVR-64's MADI-TP port and your console or stagebox and adapts signal levels and pinouts to your needs. What's more: you don't need any special crossover cables thanks to internal MDIX logic - any standard 1:1 Cat5 cable will do, no matter if you want to connect to your console or the stagebox

  • Enables the multiverter's MADI-TP port to work with DiGiCo and Soundcraft/Studer/Harman variants of MADI-TP
  • Supports up to 100 meters of MADI-TP over Cat5/Cat6 cable
  • Transparent forwarding of stagebox remote control data
  • Pinout selectable by software
  • True bit-transparency allows any format and sample rate
  • Super low latency of a few nanoseconds only
  • Fully configurable via multiverter's menu, configuration saved in presets
  • Extension port remains available
  • Up to two MTA-64 can be connected to a multiverter, allowing two MADI-TP ports
