The SSL E-Series EQ 500 Series is an EQ module based on the SSL E-Series channel strip comparable with 500 series Lunchbox style systems.

The SSL E-Series EQ 500 Series is a new module for 500 series, and has been developed to reproduce the renowned and famous sonics of the early 80s 4000 E series large format consoles. A hugely popular sound, that is still used in many studios today, the SSL E-Series EQ 500 Series brings the signature E series EQ sound to the popular 500 series format.

The SSL E-Series EQ 500 Series uses two EQ types as found on different editions of the E Series console. Each one as a truly unique response curve and its own special sonic character. Distinguished by the LF knob colours, the EQs have since become known as Black and Brown SSL EQ. On this SSL E-Series EQ 500 Series module it is possible to switch between black and brown EQ types, giving the best of both worlds.
